How Much Delta 9 THC Should I Take? (1)

Here is a dosing guide roughly based on tolerances. Work your way from5-10mgincrements to find your tolerance. Never take more than you are comfortable with; always wait 4-6 hours before taking more THC to avoid unpleasant experiences.

  • Low Tolerance(Newcomers, sensitive, micro-dosing): Take5-10mgof Delta 9 THC per session, and wait 1/2 to 2 hours for the onset of effects. D9 THC may last anywhere from 4-6 hours, or even longer, depending on body chemistry. Always remember that a little goes a long way with THC. If no effects are noticeable or desired relief has not been reached, wait 4-6 hours and retake 5-10mg. When you are comfortable with the experience of 5-10mg after multiple sessions of taking small doses, and you’d like to try something more potent, work your way up to a medium tolerance.
  • Medium Tolerance(Casual, semi-experienced, not too strong): Take10-25mgof Delta 9 THC per session, and wait 1/2 to 2 hours for the onset of effects. Wait for 4-6 hours before taking any more to avoid an unpleasant ride or too strong of an experience. Adjust the strength of your sessions in 5-10mg increments (either lower or higher) to find your perfect dosage. If the desired effects and relief are still not reached, you may have a high tolerance.
  • High Tolerance(Every day, experienced, high strength): Take25mg-100mg+of Delta 9 THC per session, and wait 1/2 to 2 hours for the onset of effects. This recommendation is for experienced individuals who are looking for maximum potency. These strengths may be overwhelming for anyone with a low or medium tolerance. High-tolerance guests may find their sweet spot in doses of 100mg+; we do not recommend newcomers or even casual THC users to dive into doses that high. It is all about personal trial and error and a slow but enjoyable built-up relationship with THC to find what works best for you.

What is Delta 9 THC?

Delta-9 THC is a psychoactive cannabinoid that binds with and stimulates endocannabinoid receptors. This well-known cannabinoid, responsible for cannabis’s most noticeable effects, can elicit euphoria and other psychoactive effects.

Is Hemp-Derived THC Different Than Cannabis-Derived THC?

In short, there is no difference.Hemp is cannabis, and cannabiscan behemp. Hemp is a legal distinction- not a physical one, for cannabis grown under the 0.3% Delta-9 THC limit and is usually produced for cannabinoids like CBDA, CBGA, or THCA. Delta-9 THC, THCA, and other cannabinoids like CBDA and CBDGA are all naturally-occurring phytocannabinoids that are found in various strains of cannabis. These are the same compounds, no matter the source! Same effects, same relief, same plant, but with a legal way for us to provide it to you.

How is this legal?

You may have heard of Delta-8 THC, which has taken the psychoactive spotlight since the 2018 AG Farm Bill de-scheduled hemp and hemp-derived cannabinoids from the controlled substances list. However, that de-scheduling also applies to Delta-9 THC (under a certain allowed amount), the classic form of THC that most experience from cannabis. Hemp, being cannabis, contains a minute amount of Delta 9 THC, which can be extracted and used as any other cannabinoid, but the key iscompliance. Compliant hemp products must contain under 0.3% Delta 9 THC on a dry weight basis. This means 3mg of Delta 9 THC can be present for every gram of product, and the product is still passing compliancy. Scale that weights up to a cookie, brownie, cereal treat, or tincture, and there’s room for a generous amount of Delta-9 while still being a federally legal hemp product!
