Inclusive companies need to do things differently - this includes making our charity bike ride, a four day, 400km+, 1500m elevation climb possible for brave and the amazing riders like Susanne possible.Super proud of our Colties for making the impossible possible.

Last week was Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK, and it got me reflecting on one of my own anxiety triggers: barf. Yes, you read that right. As one of the 0.1% who suffer from Emetophobia (fear of vomit), it’s a constant challenge.Anxiety isn’t always logical, but it’s real. This year, I’m prioritising my mental health by exploring EMDR therapy, which seems promising for many mental health issues. Remember, there is no shame in seeking help. Let’s break the stigma, normalise these conversations, and support each other in our mental health journeys.Read more in my latest what’s on my mind:#MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealth

Inclusion comes in many forms. Sometimes we are non-inclusive and don’t even know it. Our own bias, which we all have, can come in the way of making extraordinary connections. I stand against discrimination and hatred on this day and everyday.

As a mentor and parent, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges young graduates face in a post-pandemic world, especially in the age of AI-driven recruitment.  I have talked to two young women in the past month who said they applied to over 90 internships and did not receive one interview.  Not only are great talents being filtered out by automated recruitment platforms, but they also seem to suffer from what I’m deeming ‘COVID social syndrome’, affecting graduates’ confidence in networking. It made me wonder if technology is doing our kids and talent pools a disservice? It's time to rethink metrics and embrace all the diverse and amazing talents out there. To young grads: persistence pays off - try and try again with your contacts!Read more in my latest what's on my mind: #Recruiting #CareerAdvice #Automation #AI

Nothing beats that feeling of displaying a hard-earned badge or patch proudly on your sleeve, whether it’s a girl scout badge, varsity letter or heavy metal band patch. I think it’s time we brought that feeling into the working world – what do you think?

Whats on my mind? Girl scouts, heavy metal and varsity Letterman jackets: the magic of the patch Keri Gilder on LinkedIn

I am both excited and terrified about this! Haha. The last bike ride I participated in was Barcelona in o Valencia Spain. It was hard, it was fun and it was where I really learned about a corporate culture that cares. That ride was 5 years ago - time to get back on the bike!

Sometimes it really is the "small things that matter".It does not seem like a big deal - a card reader in a lower position, but to many it really matters - daily. For Colties that have disabilities that require the use of a wheelchair or lower device to enable them to get in and out of work, this small change will make a big difference.Never thought about it? Maybe now is the time to reach into your employee network and ask them what they need. That is exactly what Coltdid and we are making these small changes based upon their incredible feedback.Thank you DAN (Colt Employee Resource Group) for the suggestion!
