Lynn Loud Jr - Chapter 8 - KobLoud (2024)

Chapter Text

Turns out Dexter was super smart too, and he was more than happy to help her with her schoolwork. And it beats asking Lisa, so there they were in the cafeteria, figuring out their maths homework.

As they sat there filling out their maths homework, Dexter was suddenly shoved out of his chair. "What the heck?" Dexter exclaimed as he hit the ground, sticky soda splashing everywhere.

"Really, Lynn? Replaced me with some dweeb?" Ricky, the school bully, sneered down at them.

"What are you talking about, Ricky? You and I were never a thing," Lynn shot back, her voice dripping with annoyance.

"Oh, wow. Lynn, did you forget about our 'date'?" Ricky hissed.

"That was nothing!" Lynn retorted, her face reddening with anger.

Ricky was about to grab Lynn when he was suddenly hit with a food tray. Both turned to see Lincoln standing there, looking awkward but determined.

"Stay away from her," Lincoln said, trying to sound tough, but only managing to sound slightly less squeaky.

Lynn would've found it sweet if it weren't so stupidly reckless. "What’s your deal, nerd?" Ricky growled, stepping toward Lincoln.

"Hey, don’t touch him!" Lynn yelled at Ricky.

Ricky then began charging at Lincoln, causing both of them to fall to the floor in a tangled mess. Before Ricky could hurt Lincoln, Lynn tried to intervene, but Ricky shoved her away, accidentally punching her in the face in the process.

Dexter, seeing this, jumped on top of Ricky while causing heads to turn.

Ricky stood up trying to get rid of Dexter, but struggling from the death grip on him “Get off me!”

"BOYS, WHAT’S GOING ON?" The vice principal's voice boomed across the cafeteria, bringing the fight to a halt.

All four kids were soon sitting in the principal's office, nursing their various bruises and scrapes. Their parents were called in, looking both worried and exasperated.

"What happened?" the principal asked, looking over his glasses at the disheveled group.

"He started it," Lincoln said, pointing at Ricky. "He was harassing Lynn and her friend."

"No, I wasn’t," Ricky protested, crossing his arms.

"Yes, you were!" Dexter shouted, still fuming, he stood up but sat down when his mother held him back.

"Okay, boys, let’s take a breath," the principal said, raising his hand to calm them. He turned to Lynn. "Lynn, what happened?"

"Lincoln's right. Ricky was harassing me, and he punched Dexter too," Lynn explained, holding an ice pack to her face.

"He threw a tray at me!" Ricky shouted back.

"Yeah, 'cause you were hurting my sister," Lincoln retorted, glaring at Ricky.

"Alright, well, I’m afraid I have to suspend you, Rick. And I'll have to talk to you and your mother as well," the principal declared, looking at the troublemaker.

"Lincoln, you shouldn't have thrown a tray, even if you had good intentions. So, I'll let you off with a warning this time. Same goes for you, Dexter, since you've never caused any trouble before."

All four kids were let off early from school, and the car ride home was quiet between Lynn and Lincoln. When they pulled up to the house, Rita turned back to her two kids

“Hey we’re not mad, okay? I just wish you told me that Ricky wouldn’t stop bothering you.”

“I thought he stopped, honestly.” Lynn said quietly, looking down at her shoes.

“It’s okay, but when he does bother you again, you come to me first.” Lynn senior said.

“Yes, dad.”

As they entered the house, Luna and Lori were in the living room. Lori immediately stood up, noticing both of her siblings bruised and beaten. It was normal to see one of them all bruised, especially due to her hobby, but both kids were a rare sight.

“What happened?”

“Ricky happened,” Lincoln groans, annoyed.

“Wait, the same Ricky?” Luna asked, sitting up straighter on the couch.

“Yeah, the same Ricky.” Lynn sighs.

“Not to worry, he won’t bother you anymore. He has to get through old Lynn Loud Sr first.” There Dad proudly states.

“And me too!” Lincoln proudly claims as he puffed out his chest.

“Oh Lincoln I almost do, there's some of your favorite cookies in the kitchen,” Their Mom tells him.

“Oh, sweet!” Lincoln skipped over to the kitchen. The only thing missing would be a propeller hat and a comically large lollipop.

“Yeah, he’s gonna be helpful…” Luna whispered to no one in particular.

“Well, he did kind of help back there.” Lynn admits, even if it did cause more trouble it was the thought that counts.

Lori snorted in disbelief. “What, did he throw his tray at Ricky or something?”

Lynn stayed quiet.

“No way he actually did.” Lori laughed

“Ok, well, me and your dad have some errands to run, will be back before dinner with some food so don’t need to worry about that m” Their mom tells them

“Lori you're in charge” Their Mom says before quickly leaving with their dad. “And, don’t let Lincoln have too many cookies,” She added before disappearing.

Lynn sat on the couch sighing loudly recalling the events that just happened earlier in a slight state of shock.

“Lynn don’t worry about Ricky he’s got a dozen of crazy Louds gunning for him if messes with you” Lori sat down next to her sister.

Lynn doesn’t reply, her mind was just overwhelming her. Lori sends a pleading look to Luna.

“Hey Lynn aren’t the Volcanoes playing tonight we can watch them together” Luna suggests hoping it will make her sister feel better.

“I’m not really in the mood, I'll just crash,” Lynn said, getting up from the couch and heading straight to her room. Both sisters look at each other afraid to move, not really sure what to do next.
