Had an amazing Friday getting to celebrate the graduating class of the JVS’ Pharmacy Technician Program!! So honored to share this incredible partnership with them and Walgreens to be able to have the best candidates entering into our talent pool! Thank you to the amazing team at JVS and congratulations to the new class! So excited to see you all in the stores!

Wanted to take a moment to highlight one of the best parts of my job. Getting to spend time with the team and recognizing the amazing things they do that every single day for us. This week I was honored and humbled to spend time with our team member Jorge that was celebrating his 20 Year Anniversary with us!! Jorge has been a staple of the East Orange Walgreens location since 2004 and every day has gone above and beyond. Jorge takes pride in his work and spends his day ensuring the store is as clean as possible and coolers are always stocked. When we asked what keeps him going he replied “the team keeps me young and strong”. It’s clear that Jorge cares deeply for his work as he takes 2 buses to work everyday just to continue working at this location. He stated he “hopes the next generation will see how important your work is, big or small, and to always be humble and give it your best.” Thank you Jamall Biggs for inviting me to celebrate this milestone.

Wow! Can’t believe I celebrate 10 years with Walgreens last week. Crazy to think my part time cashiering job to pay tuition would turn into a District Manager position. As I reflect on the last 10 years I can be thankful for so many things. First of all the relationships I’ve built. So many incredible people I was able to meet and still hold close in both my professional and personal life. Being able to work with people that are truly good people has inspired me everyday to live my best life. I am grateful for all the experiences I have been able to live through. While peak COVID times were definitely something I would never want to live through again, the ability to rise up and serve my community has never been more rewarding. Being able to test, immunize, treat and really evolve with the health care industry has been such a win for community pharmacy. I am grateful for the 85 buy outs I was able to lead throughout New Jersey, PA, and Georgia. Grateful for being able to open the first Health Corner site in NJ. Grateful for all the charity events, company initiatives, store openings, new hire training events, and countless other activities that I was able to lead or participate in. Cannot forget to mention all the food events! Will always appreciate Shirley Temple Fridays, taco parties, pot lucks, and literally anytime we could gather a group around a good meal. Thank you Walgreens for the past 10 years. Truly thankful for all the opportunities and time together.

Here’s to my 30 Day Checkpoint as a DM. I am still in awe that I have been able to get to this level but I really want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone on my team for making this a wonderful transition. Thank you to my Area78 team for your support and guidance. Thank you to my stores for welcoming me with open arms! So thankful that I was able to experience my first DM Roadshow and really immerse myself into the role and meet everyone in Region29!! Really happy I was able to reunite with some of the people that were able to get me into this role from the Original 252!

Just WOW. Words cannot describe how excited I am to take on this new role as a District Manager. This is beyond what an 18 year old part time associate would have ever imagined. Thank you to all who have been a part of this journey and allowed me to continue to grow with Walgreens!

Thank you Region 29 for hosting and absolutely incredible Women of Walgreens event! I am thankful to have been able to attend my first event in person and meet so many inspiring individuals who want others to succeed! Huge benefit of the conference was being able to create care packages for women seeking shelter from domestic abuse so that these women will be able to rise up with a little help from Walgreens!

What a WEEK! Shout out to my to my team for going and beyond the ask! It is no easy task to turnover the store for Halloween, onboard new team members for the season, and launch the new COVID boosters during flu season traffic- but they executed flawlessly! Proud of them for not only taking care of the patients but also hosting James Lin and team. Thank you Petar Guetzov for all your insight both at the store and at the WoW conference. It was so wonderful to connect with Kristin Barrett and Luther Parker! Glad I could meet your entire team in person and thank you for the conversation around our Pick Up Programs- really got our team reignited! My team also had the privilege to host Heather Estrada, Rachel C. and Betsy Warde, MBA, sHRBP and really get to deep dive into how we are committed to developing our teams! Thank you Sandip Dua for joining all these visits and leading by example by allowing me to immunize you!

When I was selected for the WNFF, I had no idea the impact it would have on me for this year and my entire career. I have met the most incredible people, people who truly live the values of our company, people who care for their communities and each other, people who I have the privilege of having in my life both professionally and personally. I am so thankful for everything the WNFF has been able to give to me this year. Thank you Julie Kramer and Matt Jackson for being incredible mentors! I am so lucky to have met all of you! Thank you Walgreens for having such an amazing program and being willing to hear all the feedback from the field!
